Get Familiar With The Wiley Insurance Agency Team
I am a lifelong resident of West Plains and a third-generation Zizzer Alum of West Plains High School.
I started my career 29 years ago and spent 21 of those years at a Shelter Insurance agency, where I earned a high level of sales accolades and helped grow the agency. I wrote many facets of insurance from auto to home to life. I developed wonderful relationships with my customers and helped them through many of life’s changes.
In 2014, I left Shelter and opened Wiley Insurance Agency, LLC, from scratch. I was fortunate that my colleague Liz Warner wanted to grow, too, and was willing to leave the Shelter agency for a greater opportunity where she could learn insurance more in depth and begin to write for many different carriers.
I felt blessed and astounded that so many of my previous customers followed me to my new business. On that opening day in 2014, Liz and I literally hit the ground running, and we haven’t stopped since. From the beginning, we were fortunate to have access to many A+ rated carriers nationally known and respected, and we could pass on amazing coverages to our customers. We soon discovered that many coverages were built in with our carriers, and we could compare coverages and prices. At Shelter, in the event of rate increases, I was often left with only one option—to raise my customers’ deductibles or to cut coverages. In my new business, if a renewal is maxed out on discounts or a company takes a large increase, we provide wonderful, cost-saving options for our clients as we shop in-house with our carriers to look for better options.
Since we opened Wiley Insurance Agency, we have increased our staff, with agent Melissa Burton and our most recent addition, Abby Wiley. Our team prides ourselves in giving customer service above and beyond. When emergencies arise with our customers, we work 24/7 in answering calls, text messages, and emails. I am so thankful for my team of ladies who work incredibly well together and who truly care about each of our customers.
I have a strong passion for helping children and believe in quality education in our community. I served six years on the Richards School Board. I also enjoy my role on the boards of the Working Women Network and SCOCIC. I am also on the West Plains Community Foundation Board and the West Plains Lions Club. In the summer of 2019, Governor Parson appointed me to the Missouri Fire Safety Education and Advisory Commission, and in December 2019, I started serving as an advisory board director for Community First Bank in West Plains.
I married my high school sweetheart Todd in 1992. We are the very proud parents of two awesome sons, John and Jayden, and one great daughter-in-law, Abby. Jayden and Abby graduated with their associate’s degrees from MSU during the pandemic in 2020. I love shopping for a good bargain, decorating, spending time with friends and family, boating and spending time at the lake, and traveling the world.
I was born and raised in Houston, Missouri.
In 1994, I moved to West Plains and worked for a number of years as a Wal-Mart pharmacy tech. I liked the idea of working for my family, so I began full time with our landscaping business and trucking company. Some life changes made me leave that role, and I headed back into the traditional work force. I was looking for a more challenging career, and that’s when I landed a job with Shelter Insurance where I met Traci.
In 2014 when Traci decided to launch her own insurance agency, she asked me to join her, and I was thrilled. I was already very aware of what she could do, and I really appreciated Traci’s values, knowledge, and passion for helping people. These types of characteristics were the core of her new agency, and I was honored to take the leap of faith with her!
We have really grown since 2014, not only as an agency but as individuals. The insurance world is constantly changing, and we do our best to stay on top of what is going on to provide our customers with the best service possible. I absolutely love coming to work every day and working with these amazing ladies. We push each other to be the best person and agent we can be, and that reflects in our happy customers and booming business. We thank God first and foremost for how successful we have been. My son’s favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” We firmly believe that here at Wiley Insurance Agency, LLC!
I have two children, Shelby and Haden, and three grandchildren, Jax, Kinleigh, and Indy! When my kids attended West Plains High School, I became a very active Zizzer football mom and FFA mom. Shelby graduated with an associate’s degree in business from Missouri State University-West Plains, and Haden also received his associate’s. I enjoy spending time with my family, going down to the lake, and spoiling my grandbabies.

In 2015, I became a licensed agent and joined Wiley Insurance Agency.
I graduated West Plains High School in May of 2018. My education has always been very important to me. I graduated with Cum Laude honors and was part of the National Honor Society. I was involved in FFA, FCCLA, the A+ program, and the CNA Program offered by the Career Center. Upon obtaining my CNA license, I spent time volunteering at a local nursing home and building relationships with many of the residents there.
I am a lifelong resident of West Plains. In my sophomore year of high school, I started working at Dairy Queen and remained there for 2 years. I then worked at Captain D’s where I remained a manager until I took this position in the insurance office. I found my love in working with the public and establishing friendships with all of the customers. I loved making them smile even on their bad days. I look forward to bringing that energy to my new job at Wiley Insurance.
At MSU-West Plains, I graduated with an associate’s degree in applied science in business management. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work in my hometown and use those newly acquired skills in our community.
In 2019, I married Jayden Wiley. We love spending time with our families , traveling, bowling, and playing with our fur babies, Samson and Merle.
